We provide your dream car on finger tips
Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited has announced an exciting upgrade for its popular Honda Civic model. According to a recent social media post from the company, the new feature is wireless charging, which will be available in the Honda Civic Oriel and RS variants. The company invited customers to visit their nearest Honda 3S Dealership for more details, noting that “terms and conditions apply.”
For those who have always been fans of the Honda Civic, this is an excellent opportunity to consider purchasing the latest model equipped with wireless charging. This feature allows you to charge your mobile device conveniently and without the hassle of cables while driving. However, Honda has yet to disclose the additional cost for this feature. Further information will be provided once the company shares more details.
The Honda Civic was launched in Pakistan in 2022, marking a significant event in the local automotive market. Below are some highlights from an expert review by Suneel Munj, shared a month after the launch of the sedan.
The Honda Civic boasts a robust and broad appearance, with a front end reminiscent of earlier models but enhanced with a more aggressive stance. The front of the car features eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs), 3D LED bi-beam projector headlights with a matrix style, and a matte black hammerhead grille. A honeycomb-style lower grille and LED fog lights complete the look. However, it's worth noting that the Civic Oriel and Standard variants come with halogen headlights, which might be disappointing to some.
The car's side profile is characterized by 17-inch alloy wheels with a matte black finish, exclusive to the RS variant. The RS variant also includes piano black accents around the side-view mirrors, door handles, bumpers, and a shark fin antenna. Two character lines run along the car's side, contributing to its sporty appearance.
At the rear, the Honda Civic features curtain-style taillights similar to those seen on the Audi A4. The RS variant stands out with its exclusive ducktail spoiler in piano black and dual exhaust tips with chrome lining, features that are not present in the other variants. The trunk space is well-designed, with NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) insulation carpeting that reduces road noise inside the cabin. The trunk offers 409 liters of space, along with a full-size spare wheel and a tire repair toolkit. Interestingly, the trunk is designed not to close if the key is accidentally left inside.
Accessing the new Honda Civic is convenient, with multiple entry methods including a remote key and an RS-exclusive smart card, also known as a wallet key. Simply placing your hand on the driver's door handle will unlock the car automatically when the smart card is in your possession.
The interior of the new Honda Civic has been completely redesigned, offering a cleaner and more mature aesthetic with a touch of retro charm reminiscent of 1960s and 70s American muscle cars. The cabin provides ample headroom and legroom for both front and rear passengers, comfortably seating five adults for city driving and four adults for longer trips.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel includes controls for media, the Multi-Information Display (MID), cruise control, and paddle shifters. The instrument cluster is split into two sections: a digital speedometer on the right and a 7-inch LCD screen on the left. The screen displays a digital tachometer along with other essential information, such as fuel range, average speed, and driver attention warnings. The information on the screen can be customized using the steering wheel controls.
While the phone connectivity and touchscreen functionality are adequate, the audio quality of the speakers may disappoint music enthusiasts. One of the standout design elements is the honeycomb mesh pattern of the AC grille, which is accompanied by joystick knobs for airflow direction. Below the grille, the dual-zone climate control system is elegantly designed with tactile knobs and buttons.
The leather seats in the Civic are well-cushioned and significantly more comfortable than those in previous models. Red ambient lighting adds a welcoming touch to the interior, particularly in the RS variant, which features lighting in the front doors, center console, and footrests.
The Honda Civic RS is equipped with an extensive range of safety features, including two airbags, ABS, EBD, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Assist Control, Traction Control, and the Honda Sensing safety suite. The suite includes advanced safety systems such as Collision Mitigation Braking, Lead Car Departure Notification, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Auto High Beam. These features enhance the driving experience by providing convenience and ensuring safety on the road.
With the introduction of wireless charging, Honda continues to enhance the Civic, making it an attractive option for those looking for a blend of style, comfort, and technology. Whether you are considering the Oriel or RS variant, this new feature adds a layer of convenience that aligns with modern driving needs. Keep an eye out for more updates on pricing and availability from Honda Pakistan.
