And the wait is finally over: the Honda City will be released tomorrow. The car will be unveiled in Lahore at 7.30 p.m., according to reports. The company made the announcement on its official page, and it is now confirmed that we will receive the 6th generation.
Customers are anxiously awaiting the vehicle, as the company has reserved approximately 12,000 units so far. Surprisingly, the bookings are being taken without any mention of the new vehicle. And this demonstrates how much anticipation there is for this.
The new Honda City has created quite a stir in the local market. The company has not revealed the car's specifications and features, official launch date, or actual price; however, it has reportedly reserved approximately 12,000 units of the new City.
According to our sources, the price of a 1200cc is Rs27,25000. Furthermore, we believe the spotted car was a 1200cc CVT, implying that a 1200cc with Manual Transmission could cost around Rs2,525,000. The reason for our guess is that CVT costs around Rs2,000,000.
The new Honda City will be available in five different configurations. Two of them have 1200cc engines, while the other three have 1500cc engines. The 1.5L engine generates 118 horsepower and 145 Newton-meters of torque. The 1.2L engine produces 89 horsepower and 114 Newton-meters of torque. There are two manual transmission options and three CVT transmission options.
