The Nissan Kicks is a subcompact SUV that not only looks beautiful but also comes with a lot of goodies right out of the box. The inside has seating for up to five passengers, as well as an easyto-use multimedia system and adequate baggage capacity. In spite of fuel efficiency, the Kicks likewise exceeds the competition. The sole issue is the engine's weak performance, which results in uninspired acceleration.

The Kicks will continue to be available in three trim levels from Nissan. S, SV, and SR are the three letters. Nissan has yet to confirm the launch dates for the 2022 Kicks, thus no pricing information is available. There will be a modest price rise, but given that the 2022 Kicks had multiple revisions last year, we predict no big changes. The Kicks, like any other Nissan, comes with a long list of standard equipment.

Exterior:

The outside of the Nissan Kicks is one of the finest in terms of overall appearance after last year's redesign. The distinctive V motion grille of Nissan hasn't changed. It also receives redesigned fog lamp housing and smaller LED headlights with unique highlights. It has a contrasting dual-tone hue that gives the Kicks a sportier appeal. It is available in a number of hues for you to choose from. When it comes to size, the Kicks is a hair shorter than the rivals.

It does, however, have a long wheelbase for reliable handling. The regular model comes with 16inch steel wheels, but the SV and SR models have 17-inch black alloy wheels that are stunning. Nissan also offers the option of having the Kicks tailored to your preferences. At the back, you'll find new, larger LED tail lights with a distinctive style. Between the tail lights, there's a piano black strip that connects the two and features Nissan badging in the middle.

The Toyota C-HR is longer and heavier than the Toyota Kicks. As a result, its on-road performance is slow. In this competition, the Hyundai Venue has the shortest wheelbase. This allows it to burn out faster while speeding up. For a superior ride, the Honda HR-V is 0.3 inches taller than the Kicks. The Kicks' exterior features the following features:

  • Auto-high-beam LED headlights
  • Fog lights with LEDs
  • Taillights with LEDs
  • DRLs with LEDs
  • Exterior mirrors that are heated
  • Roofline spoiler on the back
  • grille in black
  • Bodyside aluminum moldings

 Interior:

When you enter the Nissan Kicks' cabin, you will note that it has a considerably more quality feel about it. The whole dash is covered in an appealing soft-touch material. It stands out from the competition thanks to touches like chrome accents on the AC vents, lighted tactile buttons, and a flat-bottom steering wheel. The seats are cloth-covered, although the top-of-the-line SR trim features contrast stitching.

The comfort is excellent, and the padding is pretty soft. For a more comfortable seating posture, the front seats may be manually adjusted. On the SR level, creature amenities like heated front seats and steering wheel are only available as options. The front row is roomy enough for a grown adult, but the rear row is cramped in compared to its competitors. Two adults, on the other hand, can seat comfortably, at least for short excursions.

The Kicks comes with a 7-inch touchscreen on the S trim and an 8-inch display on the other versions in terms of technology. The options are rather simple to navigate through. The design is easy to use, however the images appear to be outdated. A 6-speaker stereo is standard, however audiophiles can choose for an optional 8-speaker Bose sound system, which is only available on the SR trim.

The Kicks has the most cargo space of any, at 25.3 cubic feet. If the back seats are also folded, the cargo space expands to 53.1 cubic feet. These seats, however, do not totally fold flat, and the wheel wells take up the majority of the area. Despite this, the Kicks is a useful car. Other interior characteristics include:

  • Climate control that is automated
  • Start the engine remotely
  • Keyless access through proximity
  • Steering wheel made of leather
  • Touchscreens of 7 and 8 inches with smartphone integration
  • stereo system with six speakers Radio via satellite

Performance:

The Nissan Kicks 2022 retains the same naturally aspirated 1.6L inline-4 engine that generates 122 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque under the hood. This engine is coupled to an X-Tronic CVT transmission that sends power to the front wheels. Power lag isn't noticeable in city driving, but it might be noticeable while overtaking on highways. However, if you want the engine to respond faster, you may switch to Sports mode.

Both the Versa and the Kicks have the same suspension system. Over terrible roads, it provides a passable ride quality. When it comes to handling, the Kicks give the drivers less confidence in the bends and have a lot of body roll. The handling is precisely weighted, yet there is no sense of being on the road. Its modest curb weight and compact dimensions make it easy to maneuver through traffic and into tight parking spaces.

The Kicks fails to produce even basic excitement, so don't expect much from its power-plant. It is one of the slowest cars in its class, with a 0-60 MPH time of 10.1 seconds. The SV and SR trims include rear disc brakes, which enable it achieve a braking distance of 119 feet when stopped from 60 miles per hour.

The Toyota C-HR has the most power, but it accelerates slowly due to its hefty curb weight.

Despite having more horsepower, the Honda HR-V has similar performance to the Kicks. The HR-

V also comes with all-wheel drive, which is a nice feature.

The Nissan Kicks distinguishes out in the class in this regard. The Kicks returns excellent fuel economy, owing to the fact that the engine is expected to remain the same as previously.

Safety:

All basic and sophisticated safety measures are included with the Kicks. The majority of them are standard, although certain driving aids are only available on higher trim levels. All of this points to the Nissan Kicks being a safe car that will keep its occupants safe. It also comes with a ten-airbag system, which is rather amazing. The following are some characteristics:

  • Warning for lane deviation
  • Blind-spot surveillance
  • Cross-traffic warning in the rear
  • Pedestrian detection and forward collision warning
  • camera in the rearview mirror
  • Monitor with a 360-degree view
  • Assist with hill-start
  • Cruise control that adapts to the situation
  • Monitor the health of the driver.
  • Parking sensors in the back
  • Rear-door warning
