The much anticipated formal launch and sales debut is quickly approaching, and it promises to wow the automobile industry with its amazing offers. With suggested retail prices ranging from 185,800 to 225,800 yuan ($25,385 to $30,850), pre-sales of this state-of-the-art sport utility vehicle are already underway in the growing Chinese domestic market.

The Lineage of BJ40

The BJ40 ancestry dates back to the original generation, which debuted as a concept at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show and is well-known even in regions like Pakistan. At the famous 2013 Guangzhou Auto Show, three years later, the BAIC production model made its debut. The abbreviation "BJ" honors Beijing, the Chinese capital, and reflects the brand's extensive history in the automobile industry.

Styles That Go Beyond Generations

In terms of appearance, the second-generation BJ40 adds a more streamlined and flowing exterior while keeping the classic design elements that made its predecessor renowned. Impressive LED headlights adorn the front, with a new set of alloy wheels and unique square-shaped wheel arches on either side. For a contemporary touch, the back end features LED tail lamps that are positioned vertically. Its tough and daring image is further enhanced by conventional SUV features like roof rails, strong wheels, a spare tire located on the tailgate, and thick black cladding.

A Room that Characterizes Generous Elaboration

The all-new BJ40's cockpit is roomy and features a notable dual-screen arrangement that extends from the middle of the dashboard to the front passenger side. The driving experience is improved with a unique multifunctional steering wheel, and vital information is displayed on an LCD instrument panel. A small gear lever, a wireless charging pad, a rotary driving mode selector, and a handy storage box are all housed in the central tunnel. There is enough room for passengers and baggage in this SUV, which only has five seats.

Strength and Efficiency

The powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged engine powering the BAIC BJ40 is derived from HYCET, a Great Wall Motors affiliate. This engine produces a remarkable 245 horsepower and 395 Newton-meters of torque. It is mated to a state-of-the-art ZF Friedrichshafen 8-speed automated gearbox. Part-time 4WD is used in the BJ40's drivetrain, which offers an amazing 11 driving modes to tackle a variety of terrains. It asserts its performance capabilities by claiming an acceleration time of under 10 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.

The BJ40 SUV, Second Generation BAIC

Building on the success of its first-generation predecessor, the much-awaited second-generation BAIC BJ40 SUV is set to make a big impression in the Chinese and international automotive markets. It is positioned to become a global favorite among SUV lovers and explorers because to its powerful performance, cutting-edge technology, and stylish appearance.
