Honda Atlas Temporarily Stopped production plant Again

Honda Atlas A company connected to Honda Motor Co., Ltd. in Japan recently shared news about another time when they had to stop making cars at their factory. This happened because they couldn't get all the parts they needed to build the cars. They told the Pakistan Stock Exchange about it on Tuesday, and it means their factory will be closed from November 08 to November 09, 2023.

Problems in the Supply Chain Affect production

Before this, they already had to stop production on November 1, and they planned to start again on November 7. These breaks happened because they couldn't get all the parts they needed in inventory to start production.

How the Company is Dealing with the Situation

Honda Atlas Cars has said they can't keep production on when the supply chain isn't working well. They want to wait until everything is working properly again before they start making cars. If anything changes, they'll tell stakeholders.

Problems in production

This isn't the first time this year that Honda Atlas has had trouble in supply chain management. Before this, they had to stop production plants from March 09 to May 15 because the country's economic and financial situation was getting worse, and the government had some rules about  the issuance of Letters of Credit (LCs).

Money Troubles for Honda Atlas

Because of all these supply chain, production problems, Honda Atlas Cars isn't making as much profit as they used to. In the first part of this year, they made about Rs144.96 million, which is a lot less than the Rs658.2 million they made in the same part of last year. A total 78% down from last year after tax.

Suzuki plant shutdown

Honda Atlas isn't the only company having trouble in production plant inventory. Pakistan Suzuki is going through the same thing. Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) also had to stop there manufacturing plant  from November 1 to November 7 because they didn't have all the inventory

The reason Suzuki had to stop production is because they didn't have enough inventory. This made it hard for them to keep up there production operations. But even though it's tough for other car companies, Suzuki is still making motorcycles."
