First Full Electric SUV Introduced in Pakistan: SERES 3

The much-awaited SERES 3 SUV, which is Pakistan's first locally built all-electric car, has finally been launched by Regal Automobiles Industries Limited (RAIL). A permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 120 kW (161 hp) of power and 300 Nm of torque powers SERES 3. A 49.34 kWh lithium-ion battery allows for a 403 km driving range. The EV takes about 8.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. While slow charging will refuel the battery in around 6 hours, fast charging helps restore it from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes.

Exceptional Range and Performance

A permanent magnet synchronous motor with a powerful output of 120 kW (161 hp) and 300 Nm of torque powers the SERES 3. Its remarkable 403 km driving range is provided by its 49.34 kWh lithium-ion battery. The EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and has effective fast charging that can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes. A slower charging option will take around 6 hours to complete the same work.

Design and Dimensions

The SERES 3 has a wheelbase of 2,655mm and dimensions of 4,385mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,650mm in height, making it a true 5-seater. With its closed front fascia, textured grille cover, projector headlights, LED DRLs, and unique floating-roof side profile, the car has angular style. A full-width tailgate with integrated tail light units, a rear wiper, and an incorporated spoiler are displayed on the back.

Exquisite Interior Details

The SERES 3's interior has silver accents and a dual-tone leather design. A 10.25-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel, an electronic shift knob, an electrically adjustable and heated front seat, a digital multi-information display, wireless phone charging, a panoramic roof, and a six-speaker audio system are some of the vehicle's standout features.

Full-range Features and Safety

Important features include cruise control, three driving modes (Normal, Eco, and Sports), power tailgate with foot sensor, power steering and windows, power and heated outside mirrors, and eighteen-inch alloy wheels. Six airbags, an immobilizer and smart key, an event data recorder, front and rear parking radars, a reversing camera with 360-degree surround view, a tire pressure monitoring system, 3-point ELR seatbelts, ESP and TCS (electronic stability and traction control), HAC and HDC (hill-start assist & hill descent control) with auto hold brake, and LDWS (lane departure warning system) are some of the safety features.

Details of the Warranty and Prices

The SERES 3 has six exterior color options and is covered by an 8-year/150,000 km battery and motor guarantee in addition to a 5-year/100,000 km warranty (whichever comes first). The pricing of the domestically produced Seres 3 is revealed in the company's statement to be Rs. 9,199,000. A deposit of Rs. 3,000,000 is needed to reserve this automobile, and the delivery date is set for March 24, 2024. The Seres 3 Completely Built Unit (CBU), on the other hand, was marketed at Rs. 11,799,000. In terms of performance, the engine under the hood of the CBU unit is the same as the engine installed in the car's Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit.
