Proton all set to launch its cars in Pakistan!!!

The Malaysian Automaker Proton Teamed up with the Al- Haj Automotive to introduce its First Product in Pakistan.

 

 

 

The company will introduce the X70 in December and saga sedan most probably in January. Camouflaged test mules of both proton X70 SUV and Saga Sedan have been seen conducting difference testing on the various road of Pakistan.

 

If we talk about the X70proton’s competitor we will see Kia, Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, DESK glory 580 and the recently unveiled MG HS. On the other hand proton saga sedan competitor will be Honda city, Toyota Yaris and Toyota corolla. The engine of this car is 1332 cc but company specially design its engine under 1300 because above 1300 and below 1300 the structure of tax is different, and bellowing 1300 would also help the company in pricing the sedan lower.

 

 

 

According to the information the X70 will be available in 4 variants.

  • Standard 2WD
  • Executive 2WD
  • Executive 4WD
  • Premium X 2WD

The x70 premium x has Nappa leather, panoramic sunroof and 4 way electrically adjustable seats with “BOSS” switch. For safety equipment in Pakistan it include 6 air bags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control system, hill hold assist and hill decent control.

The executive 4WD version come with the AEB autonomous Emergency braking in addition to the features mention above.

The premium X 2WD will gain additional equipment includes: Forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot information system, door opening warning, intelligent high beam and tire pressure monitoring system.

Proton X70 in Pakistan will equipped with 1.5 liter turbo charged direct injection engine co-developed by Geely and Volvo this could be the same engine that propel the award winning VOVO x c40 as well as Geely SX 11 Binyue.

 

 

Proton saga will be available in 3 variants

  • Standard MT
  • Standard AT
  • Premium AT

Proton Saga for Pakistan includes dual front airbags, rear seat ISOFIX anchors, ABS, EBD and brake assist, while the top Premium AT variant adds stability control, traction control and hill hold assist, front parking sensors and a reverse camera.

The Proton Saga and X70 prices have not yet been released. The base model of the Saga will be priced around Suzuki Cultus while the X70 base is likely to be less costly than the Kia Sportage. Both X70 and Saga were the winners in their respective categories of the 2019 Malaysian Car of the Year competition, and have performed tremendously well in terms of sales back in their home market.
